Mr. Suleman Lalani is the Non-Executive Director and Chairman of the Board of Directors of JS Investments Limited. He brings to this role over three decades of distinguished leadership across Pakistan's financial services sector, spanning investment banking, asset management, microfinance and corporate governance.
Mr. Lalani began his professional career with Jahangir Siddiqui & Co. Limited ("JSCL") in 1992, where he worked for over eight years before being appointed Chief Operating Officer of Jahangir Siddiqui Investment Bank Limited, a subsidiary of JSCL. In January 2002, he joined The First MicroFinance Bank Limited as its Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary, gaining valuable exposure to the microfinance sector during a formative period in its development in Pakistan.
He subsequently joined JS Investments Limited, where he served first as Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary, and thereafter as Executive Director — Finance & Operations and Company Secretary, contributing significantly to the growth and institutionalization of one of Pakistan's leading asset management companies.
Mr. Lalani rejoined JSCL in March 2012 as its Chief Executive Officer, a position he held with distinction for over a decade. His leadership during this period was instrumental in strengthening JSCL's position as a leading financial conglomerate. He was subsequently elevated to Vice Chairman and then to Group President from which he has recently retired following a career of exceptional service to the JS Group spanning over three decades.
Mr. Lalani is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (FCA) and has completed the Board Development Series Certificate Program conducted by the Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance, reflecting his commitment to the highest standards of professional and governance excellence.
