Syed Maaz Ali Shah (Head of Human Resources and Administration)
Syed Maaz Ali Shah comes with over 15 years of rich experience across various sectors in Pakistan, MNC's and local sectors like Pharma, Consumer Goods, Food & Beverages and IT industry. He holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management from University of Karachi, with a first-division distinction and a certification in Industrial Relations and Labour Laws of Pakistan.
Maaz has held significant leadership roles in renowned organizations such as Kachelo Group, where he served as Head of Human Resources and Ontex Pakistan, where he led Pakistan HR operations. His expertise spans a wide range of HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, employee engagement, and the implementation of advanced HR systems like SAP HR and HRSI.
Throughout his career, Maaz has successfully aligned HR strategies with business objectives, driven continuous improvement initiatives, and ensured compliance with industry regulations. His contributions have been instrumental in transforming organizational cultures and enhancing workforce productivity. Maaz is highly regarded for his strong communication skills and his ability to perform effectively under pressure, having earned distinctions such as "Best HR Employee of the Year" Ontex Global.
Mr. Shabih Hasnain (Vice President Equities)
Mr. Hasnain has over 6 years of asset management/brokerage experience in Equity research and Portfolio management. He has worked in multiple positions at UBL Funds, Started off as an analyst before being promoted to Fund Manager/Senior Portfolio Manager Equities. Prior to UBL Funds, he worked as an analyst at Foundation securities.
Mr.Hasnain has completed BBA from SZABIST (specialization in Finance) and is a CFA level 3 Candidate. He is currently leading the Equity team at JS Investments Limited.
Mr. Musab Iqbal (Vice President, REITs)
Musab Iqbal joined JS Investments in March 2023. At JS Investments, Musab leads the REIT department and REIT advisory team. Musab brings extensive real estate experience to the forefront. Recognized for his strategic developmental advisory in the real estate sector, he diligently monitors market dynamics, spearheads business development, and fosters relationships with both local and multinational clientele while managing qualitative and quantitative countrywide real estate research at JSIL.
Prior to joining JS Investments, Mr. Musab has extensive experience working for Multinational Real Estate Investment advisory firms where his expertise spans designing detailed real estate project feasibilities, project valuation, and offering acquisition and development recommendations for real estate projects of varying scales. His analytical prowess is evident in real estate valuations and project viability evaluations, complemented by competitive analysis exercises for numerous projects and studies.
Musab holds an MSc. in Investment and Finance from the University of Strathclyde, United Kingdom.
Mr. Abdul Basit Siddiqui (Head of Wealth Management)
Mr. Basit has 20+ years of diversified experience of segments like Private Banking. Retail Branch Banking. Wealth Management, Consumer Assets, Islamic Banking and Emerging Banks. He has developed and managed substantial portfolios, along with extensive exposure of integration & mergers of banks. Mr. Basit holds various top performers & role model awards.
Prior to JSIL, he has worked with JS Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, Samba Bank, Burj Bank, Emaan Islamic Banking and Silk Bank.
Syed Muhammad Anwer (Head of Information And Technology)
Mr. Anwer has an overall 18 years of experience covering the ambits of Infrastructure, ERP implementation, Data Centre, DR and Project Management mainly in the insurance sector. He has completed his MBA Coursework from Hamdard University, Karachi and holds Bachelors in Computer Science degree from Al-Khair University, Karachi.
Prior to joining us Mr. Anwer was working with Dawood Family Takaful as Head of Information Technology, where he lead the ERP, CRM, Online Digital Payment, Portal development & implementation teams and was given an additional responsibility of Chief Information Security Officer.
In the past, Mr. Anwer served Pak Qatar Takaful as Senior Manager Information Technology & Systems. He has also worked as a Project Manager for Millennium Software, overseeing the implementation of multiple projects in Pakistan, as a Business Analyst for PICIC Insurance Ltd., and as an Oracle Programmer / Analyst for International General Insurance Limited (IGI).
